Better Notes is a Smart Way to Remember

One of the great benefits of smart phones is that you have a little computer at your fingertips… especially when the high-tech device meets the low-tech needs of everyday life. One such need is note keeping, either as a memory aid or just as an organisational tool. There’s no longer any need to carry notepads around as phones have built in electronic notes. Apps like Better Notes go on to develop this idea and literally make it better, with intelligent features that make your notes smarter, all for free.

Notes that Work for You

Many basic note apps simply involve writing and saving a message, almost like texting yourself. Better Notes goes on to add features and smart design to your notes, organising them by hashtags, so you can quickly find all notes that refer to a certain thing. This could be groceries, Christmas presents or work. You can add photos to notes, perhaps to help you remember a certain product you’ve seen on directions on a map. The software even recognises phone numbers and links to let you quickly call or visit them.

Take Note

Better Notes has a really nice layout which is easy on the eye and modern. The app adds a lot to basic note taking, which is why it’s popular, but some would argue that default note applications are advancing to do the same things all the time.

PROS

  • Add hashtags to your notes
  • Search and organise notes

CONS

  • A few little bugs like reminders going off after being deleted
